ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join La Voyagerie Parisienne for a special movie night in collaboration with Lost in Frenchlation, the Paris-based cinema project that makes French films accessible to everyone by screening them with English subtitles.
This February, discover Furcy (Né libre),
Reunion Island, 1817. Upon his mother's death, the slave Furcy discovers documents that could make him a free man. With the help of an abolitionist prosecutor, he embarks on a legal battle for the recognition of his rights.
Inspired by a true story. Adapted from the book "L'Affaire de l'esclave Furcy" by Mohammed Aïssaoui.
